SNOW in Houston TX!!

On December 4th it snowed 4″ here at our house!! and most stayed over night too. It was a great surprise and a great kick off of the Christmas season. We can only hope for more to come

I guess were eating our words. It was august when we updated this page. Well, again a lot has been going on but what fun would it be to put it all here! I think I’ll put some pics up and let the rest work itself out. Plus I am watching three kids right now and don’t have that much time!

Bass Pro Shop

So I took the kids to the Bass Pro Shop yesterday. It’s like a free theme park for kids 5-under! I love it, the kids love it and it takes us about an hour and a half to get in and out.

Kenley is now about 7 weeks old and is filling out more each day! She is beginning to tolerate spending time in the carseat and swing more now, which had been the thing she hated the most. From day one, our sweet little Kenley would scream like crazy every time she was in the carseat, swing or bouncy, and this made car rides seem very long and the housework difficult to accomplish. So, we are happy that she is becoming more content and less fussy these days! Plus – Morgan is much happier riding in the car next to a quiet baby as opposed to a screaming one! make those cute little “ooo” sounds. We love her soft little head and sweet little baby feet – What a wonderful blessing!

Today Scott, I, the kids, and Pops went out to grab some dinner at Red Robin, a local “gourmet” burger place. Happened to have the camera with me and decided to have Scott take a quick pic of me with the kids. I have so few pictures with the kids since I am usually the one behind the camera! So, it was nice to catch a glimpse of us together. I just really love those little guys – aren’t they great?!

Morgan has been attending a preschool/mother’s day out program in Sugar Land since October of last year. However, we had to wait for a spot to open up for Nathan, and one finally did last week! So, here is a picture of the kids right before Nathan’s very first day of class! He was shy and cried to begin with, but the teachers told me he had a blast on the playground, ate lunch like a champ, and fell right asleep at nap time. Love it! (Sorry for the blurry picture – didn’t realize it until after the fact!)

Kenley

Kenley is now 6 weeks old and we are thankful that she is healthy. However, we are still working on sleeping at night! Scott and I really miss sleeping at night! I think we could sleep for like – a month! (oh wait – isn’t that the name of some medical condition?!) But seriously – it is a little crazy around here with me preparing to go back to work and all of us still adjusting to a new little one. As crazy as it is, though – we enjoy this time while they are little. So for now, we just make it through each day of Nathan’s 2 year old tantrums, Morgan’s 4 year old chatter, and Kenley’s newborn crying…..and at the end of each day we sigh a sigh of relief that they are finally asleep and remain thankful for the gift of children and the crazy fun they bring each day!
